Welcome Oakville Dads Community Fund — Supported Charity of the Bronte Harbour Classic

We are proud to announce that the Oakville Dads Community Fund is the supported charity of the inaugural Bronte Harbour Classic — and that 100% of every donation made during registration goes directly to supporting Oakville families.

This is not a passive partnership. Oakville Dads will be on the course. They will be at the water stations, the corner marshals, and the finish line. Their volunteers — 60+ of them — are an essential part of how this race operates. That kind of commitment deserves to be recognized, and we are glad to make their fund the beneficiary of every charitable dollar this race generates.

To understand more about why we chose Oakville Dads and what this partnership means, read Why We Run for Oakville Dads.

Who Are Oakville Dads?

The Oakville Dads Community Fund is a grassroots organization made up of local fathers deeply invested in making Oakville a stronger, more connected community. They operate through the Oakville Community Foundation, ensuring full transparency and accountability for every dollar donated.

What sets Oakville Dads apart is their hands-on approach. They are not distant donors — they are coaches, volunteers, and neighbours who show up. For the Bronte Harbour Classic alone, 60+ Oakville Dads volunteers have committed to support race day operations, from course marshalling to water stations to finish line celebrations.

Where the Money Goes

Funds raised through the Bronte Harbour Classic support programs that make a real difference in Oakville families’ lives:

  • Emergency Family Assistance — Direct financial support for families facing unexpected hardship
  • Youth Athletics Programs — Funding so no child in Oakville misses out on sports due to financial barriers
  • Community Events and Gatherings — Supporting neighbourhood events that bring residents together
  • Local School Support — Contributions to school programs and initiatives across Oakville

For a deeper look at the impact of these programs, read our Charity Spotlight: Oakville Dads.

Our Fundraising Goal

The inaugural Bronte Harbour Classic has set a target of raising $10,000+ for the Oakville Dads Community Fund from our first event — a starting point that will grow with the race each year.
