The 5K course starts and finishes at Bronte Heritage Waterfront Park, Ontario Street at Bronte Road, Oakville. The route runs clockwise: east on Ontario Street, north on Bronte Road, east on Marine Drive, northeast on Belvedere to Lakeshore Road, north into Coronation Park for the park loop, returning south on Lakeshore Road, south on Third Line, through Waters Edge Drive, west on Marine Drive, south on East Street, and west on Ontario Street back to the finish. The course is fully paved with no significant elevation changes.

Route Details

Course Description

The 5K is a scenic loop starting and finishing at Bronte Heritage Waterfront Park. Runners head out through the Bronte neighbourhood along Marine Drive and Lakeshore Road, complete a loop through Coronation Park with lake views, and return through the waterfront streets to the finish line.

The entire course is paved and flat with no significant elevation changes. Wide roads throughout make it stroller-friendly and accessible. Expect open views of Lake Ontario and Bronte Harbour for much of the route.

Getting There

Parking

Free limited parking is available at Bronte Heritage Waterfront Park, a short walk from the start/finish area.

All street parking in the surrounding area is free on Sundays, with additional spaces available nearby. We will share additional parking locations closer to the event as race day approaches. Arrive by 7:00 AM for best availability.

Please do not park in private lots such as commercial plazas or the Farm Boy grocery parking area. Parking is at your own risk.

Public Transit

Oakville Transit serves the Bronte area. Check oakvilletransit.ca for Sunday schedules and routes.

The Bronte GO Station is approximately 1.5 km from Bronte Heritage Waterfront Park.

Road Closures

6:00 AM — Hard Closures (start/finish area)

  • East Street between Marine Drive and Ontario Street
  • Nelson Street between Marine Drive and Ontario Street
  • Jones Street between Marine Drive and Ontario Street
  • Bronte Road between Marine Drive and Ontario Street
  • Ontario Street between East Street and Bronte Road

7:30 AM — Partial Closures (runner lane)

  • Marine Drive between East Street and Third Line — runners in dedicated coned northbound lane; one lane remains open for vehicle traffic
  • Lakeshore Road W northbound lane between Third Line and Woodhaven Park Drive — coned with pylons; southbound traffic continues normally

~8:30 AM: Signage removal begins behind the last runner, from Coronation Park back toward the finish.

~9:30 AM: All road closures removed.

Traffic control is managed by a professional traffic control company with advance warning signage installed two weeks prior to race day. We appreciate the community's patience on Sunday, June 21, 2026.
