The in-person race is open now and it's at its lowest price of the year — pick a distance if you can make it to the harbour.

You can't be at the harbour.
You can still be in the race.
Some people move away. Some are working that weekend, or recovering from something, or three provinces from Oakville with no way to get here. The race shouldn't be closed to them.
Run your 5K or 10K wherever you are during race week. Submit your time. We'll put you on the virtual results and mail you the same finisher medal that every runner on the waterfront takes home.

There is no separate virtual medal and no virtual ribbon. You get the identical finisher medal, struck from the same die, that we hang around the neck of every runner who crosses the line at Bronte.

One price all year — it never goes up and it never goes down. Limited to 100 entries.
If that looks close to the in-person entry, it should: the medal and the shirt cost us the same either way, and this price also covers packing and mailing them to your door. Virtual isn't the cheap way into the Classic — it's the way in for people who can't get to the harbour.
How it works
Four steps, and one of them is running.
Register
One flat price, with shipping anywhere in Canada included. Pick your distance — 5K or 10K — and your shirt or GearTOP hat size, exactly like the runners on the course.
Run it anywhere
Any time between June 14–27, 2027. Your street, your treadmill, your favourite trail, the road outside a hotel in another province. Father's Day morning if you want to be running while we are.
Submit your time
Log your finish time on Race Roster and you go up on the virtual results with a personalized finisher certificate. Honour system — no proof required.
Get your medal
Kits ship in one batch the week of June 28, 2027, so we mail to everyone who took part at once. Local? Skip the mail and collect yours at Runner's Den Burlington, Friday June 18, 2027.
Read this before you enter
What a virtual entry is not.
It isn't chip timed, and it isn't ranked with the race.
Virtual times are self-reported on the honour system and published on their own results set. They are not merged into the chip-timed field and they don't appear in the overall or age-group standings.
It isn't eligible for prizes.
No cash awards, no ON Running shoes, no age-category placings. Those belong to the runners who toe the line at Bronte Heritage Waterfront Park and get timed doing it. We think that's the only fair way to run it.
There's no kit handout on race weekend.
Virtual kits are mailed, or collected at the scheduled Runner's Den Burlington, Friday June 18, 2027 pickup if you chose that option. We can't hand out bibs, shirts or medals to virtual entrants at the festival or on race morning — the team is running a race that day.
We ship within Canada only.
Cross-border shipping means customs forms, duty and brokerage fees landing on you, so we don't do it. If you're outside Canada, a friend or family member here can receive the kit for you.
Already signed up for the real thing?
If your plans fall apart, switch instead of cancelling.
Registered for the 5K or 10K and something's come up? You can move your entry to virtual up to May 30, 2027 and still get the medal, the shirt and your name in the results — rather than walking away with nothing.

Distance is a bad reason
