It was a genuine pleasure to host Bandology at the 2026 Mercedes-Benz Oakville Bronte Harbour Classic 5K Father’s Day Waterfront Festival. From 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, they performed live kids’ play with a wonderful hands-on setup that let the festival’s youngest guests get in on the fun.
Founded in 2017 by parents who had seen the long-term benefits of music education first-hand, Bandology is an Oakville-based Canadian non-profit built on a simple, big-hearted idea: more music for more kids. Through Band Camp, Band Camp Junior, workshops, percussion parties, and their Play A Gig program, they give young people across Oakville and beyond the chance to play, perform, and fall in love with music. They even run an instrument lending library so that no kid is kept from music by the cost of a trumpet.
A family festival couldn’t ask for a better partner to keep the kids smiling all morning.
Why we love having them at the Classic
While parents lined up for the 5K and the Speak Squad Kids 1K, Bandology gave the youngest festival-goers a stage of their own. A non-profit whose whole mission is more music for more kids is exactly what a Father's Day family festival should sound like.

Fun factBandology runs an instrument lending library — launched with an Ontario Trillium Foundation grant — loaning concert band instruments to kids who otherwise couldn’t practise.
