At the 2026 Event
Municipal Partner — connected the race with the shops, restaurants, and services of Bronte Village.
Race-day by the numbers
The Bronte Village BIA united the local business community behind the 2026 Mercedes-Benz Oakville Bronte Harbour Classic 5K. Their partnership connected the race with the vibrant shops, restaurants, and services of Bronte Village — turning race day into a full community celebration along the harbour.
Set along the western shores of Lake Ontario around Bronte Heritage Waterfront Park, the village pairs locally owned shops and boutiques with full-service restaurants, casual cafés, and waterfront patios, plus a season of community events from summer concert series to the Bronte Farmers’ Market. It’s the perfect backdrop for a Father’s Day morning — and the reason the finish-line festival had a true neighbourhood to spill into.
Why we love having them at the Classic
The race finishes in the BIA's backyard, and they treated it that way — connecting us with the shops and patios of Bronte Village and helping race day feel like a village-wide celebration rather than a road closure. You can't stage a community race without the community's main street behind you.

Fun factBronte began as a fishing village in 1834 at the mouth of Twelve Mile Creek, and its harbour later served as an entry point for freedom seekers travelling the Underground Railroad.
