At the 2026 Event
Set up at the Father's Day Waterfront Festival vendor market on race day, connecting with Bronte and Ward 1 residents.
The Bronte Village Residents Association (BVRA) is the volunteer, non-profit residents’ association for Bronte and Oakville’s Ward 1 — formed to protect the village’s character, charm, and waterfront while serving the needs of residents, honouring local heritage, and fostering community spirit.
Day to day, that means keeping neighbours informed and engaged: hosting community meetings, tracking development proposals and Town planning issues that affect the village, and representing residents’ views to the Town of Oakville through delegations and feedback on the files that shape Bronte’s future.
At the 2026 Mercedes-Benz Oakville Bronte Harbour Classic 5K, the BVRA set up at the Father’s Day Waterfront Festival vendor market — the community’s own advocates, at a community event, on the waterfront they work to protect.
Why we love having them at the Classic
This race finishes in their front yard. The BVRA has spent years standing up for the waterfront, heritage, and village character that make Bronte worth racing through — having them at the festival rooted the whole day in the neighbourhood it belongs to.
