Set up at the Father's Day Waterfront Festival vendor market on race day, introducing families to on-demand home care.
Caredara is a Burlington-based company on a mission to transform how home care is delivered in Canada. Its on-demand platform connects seniors and their families directly with qualified, vetted Personal Support Workers (PSWs), Registered Practical Nurses (RPNs), and Registered Nurses (RNs) — real-time booking through an app, with no contracts, one-hour minimums, and clear, upfront hourly rates.
The model works both ways: families get transparency, choice, and continuity of care — including the ability to rebook a favourite practitioner — while practitioners set their own schedules and earn fair compensation. Halton Region was the proving ground for Caredara’s fall 2025 pilot, one of the first programs of its kind in the country, and the platform has since expanded into care-readiness tools that help families activate support quickly after a hospital discharge, a fall, or caregiver burnout.
At the 2026 Mercedes-Benz Oakville Bronte Harbour Classic 5K, Caredara joined the Father’s Day Waterfront Festival vendor market — a homegrown Halton health innovator meeting the multi-generational families the race was made for.
