At the 2027 Event
Host Running Club — this is their race. Returning to provide the grassroots energy, local knowledge, and volunteers behind the 2027 event.
The Bronte Harbour Classic is the Bronte Runners Club’s race — and the club is back as host for the 2027 edition.
With more than 700 members across Oakville and Burlington, the club provided the grassroots energy, local course knowledge, and volunteer army that made the inaugural 2026 Mercedes-Benz Oakville Bronte Harbour Classic 5K possible — from water stations to course marshals to the finish-line crew. Title sponsors and partners give a race its polish, but a club like this gives it its soul: hundreds of neighbours who lace up together and show up for each other.
On Sunday, June 20, 2027 — Father’s Day — they’ll be back at Bronte Heritage Waterfront Park, turning race morning into something the whole community can call its own for a second year.
Why we love having them at the Classic
This is us. The race grew straight out of the club's group runs along the Bronte waterfront, and our own members marshalled the corners, staffed the water stations, and cheered the field home in year one. In 2027 they'll do it all again — because this race belongs to them.

Fun factThe group's own description keeps it simple: 'A community built around friendship, health and a passion for running.'
