This spring, we are offering the most advanced speed training clinic we have ever put together. This is a specialized form of athletic training designed to maximize a runner's top-end speed, acceleration, and movement efficiency — by improving neuromuscular coordination and developing fast-twitch muscle fibers.
Unlike endurance training, speed training focuses on high-intensity, low-volume efforts with significant rest to ensure maximum power output on every rep. Speed training is an essential part of a balanced training plan and is applicable to all distances from a 5K to a full marathon.

This is a demanding, highly specialized program. Before registering, ask yourself honestly:
- You are driven to do better and committed to the work
- Your weekly running mileage is a minimum of 35K
- You possess a good understanding of running mechanics
- You are able to perform basic running drills
- You are willing to travel to workout locations
- You can commit to a weekend distance run

Coach Charles
Coach Charles is a former elite runner, professional coach, and co-lead of the Bronte Runners. His deep background in competitive athletics and movement science makes him uniquely qualified to deliver a program at this level. The Advanced Speed Clinic is unlike anything he has offered before — and it reflects his belief that serious runners deserve serious coaching.
The 10-week program begins Friday, May 1, 2026. Each session runs approximately one and a half hours. Expect to work.
